Gothic / Dark

On the end of the 70's, more specifically in 1979, bands coming from punk movement and influenced by Punk Rock classicals such as Buzzcocks, Television and other music stars like Lou Reed, Velvet Underground and David Bowie, started a new musical tendence, again in London, called Gothic Music. The Gothics or Darks - name given by Brazilian fans on the 80's - added to the punk sound melodical notes, keyboardsm synthetizers and technology, in a real musical reengineering. The lyrics are more architected, talking about imposible love, acid and dream experiences, mind deliriums and mainly mentioning famous poets like the French Baudelaire. On the 90's, with more world liberation, the Gothics started to be engaged to the GLS (Gays-Lesbian-Synphatizers) e they assumed definitevely the front at the battle for the world sexual freedom.
