Progressive
This
genre started on the 70's, when rock bands decided to introduce sound
effects, production and arrangements of opera and erudite music to its
compositions. It had strong influence of jazz. Dissonant notes, guitar
solos and considerable delayed keyboard performances are trademarks of
this movement, which on the end of the 70's was the target of all the
hate of traditional rockers, punks and heavy metal bands.
