Reggae
Some
people might find it strange we are placing Reggae in a Portal which the
name itself says, it's Rock. But even more strange is to define Reggae
as a Rock Genre. The fact is that lots of rock bands were and are influenced
by this contagious rythm from Jamaica. Bands lke The Clash, for example,
after a direct contact with Reggae has changed completely the style and
became popular and accepted by the specialized critical media.
Reggae has also influenced the origins of Ska, which style is a hit worldwide
with several bands including in Brazil. So, here goes our little homage.
